01
Who this policy covers
This policy describes personal information handled when you visit Kindredly, create an account, apply as a professional, browse profiles, or use booking-related features.
Kindredly helps connect people with independent mental health professionals. Information a professional collects directly during care may be subject to that professional’s own privacy practices. Please ask them about their policies before sharing sensitive information.
02
Information we collect
Account details: your name, email address, authentication information, and account role.
Professional details: qualifications, registration details where provided, languages, specialties, experience, location, professional biography, profile image, and availability.
Booking details: selected professional, session date and time, session format, booking status, fees, and related operational records.
Communications and support: messages or information you choose to send to our support team and service notifications.
Technical information: data needed to operate, troubleshoot, and secure the service, such as device/browser information, request logs, and session or authentication cookies. The exact analytics and cookie technologies used must be confirmed before release.
Payment and video-session information, if those features are enabled, may be processed by specialist providers. Confirm the precise data collected and retained by each provider before publishing this policy.
03
Sensitive information and therapy sessions
Details about mental health are especially sensitive. Please avoid entering medical histories, diagnoses, or therapy notes into general support forms, profile search, or other fields not specifically intended for them.
Kindredly does not promise that therapy conversations are recorded, stored, or never stored: actual video, messaging, recording, and session-data practices must be confirmed before launch. A professional may keep clinical records separately from Kindredly.
04
How information is used
We use information to provide and secure accounts; display eligible public professional profiles; process application reviews; make and manage appointment requests; provide notifications and support; investigate abuse or errors; and meet applicable legal obligations.
Where required, we seek consent or rely on another lawful basis appropriate to the activity. Marketing communications should be optional and include a way to unsubscribe.
06
Payments and communications
If payments are enabled, a payment provider may handle payment details and transaction verification. Do not assume Kindredly stores full card numbers; confirm the payment integration and provider documentation.
Transactional emails and appointment notifications may be sent using communications providers. Promotional emails, if offered, should have separate opt-in and unsubscribe controls.
08
Retention and security
We aim to retain information only for as long as needed for service delivery, security, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Specific retention periods and deletion procedures must be verified against the production systems and applicable law.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. The operator must confirm implemented controls such as access restrictions, encryption in transit, backups, audit logging, and incident response before making specific security assurances.
09
Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, update, or erase certain personal information, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a complaint.
Use the Contact page to submit a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before making account-level changes. Certain information may need to be retained for legal or legitimate operational reasons.
10
Children and younger users
Age eligibility, parental or guardian consent, and safeguards for children must be defined and implemented before allowing minors to use booking features. Do not assume that a professional serving children means a child can independently register or book through Kindredly.
11
Where information is processed
Kindredly is designed for people in India, but cloud and third-party services may process information in other countries. The production operator must verify hosting locations, transfers, and any legal safeguards required for those transfers.
12
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our features, providers, or legal obligations change. The date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Material changes should be communicated where required.
13
Contact and grievances
For privacy questions or requests, use our Contact page. Before public launch, the operator must identify the legal entity responsible for this service and publish the appropriate privacy or grievance contact information and response process.
